a tea party!

I was so excited to find my pop of color from Etsy - a 'bright coral baby blanket' per the description.  Well - she wasn't kidding.  It was quite a pop!

So here is my DIY solution, after some googling of course.  A Tea Party with some chai and earl grey.

soak soak soak x 24 hours and then washing out in the shower and voila!

Crib Bedding

After much debate... I have decided on the bedding ... and actually ordered it!!

It is from a lady on Etsy (Cottage and Cabin Interiors) who makes fantastic linen bedding, and one of the few places where I found great neutral linens that aren't beige... more greige... of course!

This is a near-example of my order:  the differences are the color of the linen (see the 2nd picture for what I chose), and the size of the ruffle and ties (I chose 1" thick instead of 2" thick).  Also - I am having the skirt done just slightly shorter, where it touches the floor but doesn't have that storybook look.

This came in first place for us instead of the Bella Notte linens, which were great but didn't have quite the right color for me!

Thankfully - we were able to rig the deck without major work done, and we added a beautiful doggie-door that Piper just loves running through!!
